There has been a lot of hype out in blog land about World Market. Enough to spark my interest and let’s be honest, it doesn’t take much to make me curious. I know I am way late on the World Market bandwagon … but I had to see what all the fuss was about!
And if you really want to know my opinion, it was good … but I was expecting more. I loved all of the fun and unique things they had to offer, but was hoping for and expecting it to be a lot bigger. I dunno, maybe it was just the particular store that I went to? Maybe the others are bigger? Anyway, for those that haven’t been there yet, or even just haven’t been recently, I took a few pictures of things that caught my eye … and just to worn you I guess I like birds right now!
LOVED these chalkboard labels.They are all the rage right now and can be used on so many different things!
They had a lot of fun mugs … this one with the bird was my fav!
Oh, the barstools. Be still my heart. It just so happens that the hubby and I have been on the lookout for new barstools. We wanted backless, and fabricless (not a word, I’m aware) …something easy to clean. Umm … these were perfect! And get this, originally 89.99, on sale for 44.99. Then a few of them were a bit bent so they knocked them down to 29.99. Then the nice guy helping us said it was friends and family weekend … so an additional 25% off our total! Needless to say $134 bones later five of them were mine! (Pictures to come!)
Pillows galore in every color imaginable. (This was only 1/2 of what they had)
Loved this shower curtain. So much so that I almost brought her home too.
Bathroom accessories … they matched the mug, and would go with so much!
I really liked these map covered letters. Maps are HUGE right now and this would be a nice way to slowly add a little in to your home!
And the knobs. I don’t know what it is but I love knobs! They can add so much personality to a piece, they are relatively cheap and are an easy way to change the look of a nightstand or dresser!
I couldn’t resist a close up of this little guy! (I know, more birds!) But I can just imagine a few od these on a vintage shelf or board to hang jackets on. Hmmm … I just might have to go back for a few!
Even though it was not quite what I had envisioned, I will for sure be going back to World Market. Have you been there? What kinds of fun things did you leave with?

Looks like a cool store and I can't believe the deal you got on those stools! That is awesome! I'll have to join you sometime to a trip to World Market, and Home Goods . . . I still haven't been there!
