Do you remember when I scored some free goods on the side of the road a couple of months ago?? Well, this bad boy was one of them … complete with giant drips of stain/lacquer and a lovely early 90’s floral seat cushion. Oh ya!!! But I knew there was some major potential (did you look at those lines??) so I snatched it up.
Here’s what I started with. Pretty, I know!
With some fresh white paint and some new updated fabric, here she is now!
I just love this fabric and think it’s the perfect fit for the chair. It’s Solarium Outdoor Sumter Ikat Opal … just in case you love it as much as I do!
And because I can’t resist a good side by side before and after …
The Process
Sand off the drips from previous crappy paint job
Prime with Zinsser Cover Stain Oil Based Primer
Paint with Benjamin Moore’s Dove White
Recover seat with Sumter Ikat Opal (Solarium Outdoor)
This chair is going to be the perfect finishing touch for my Mom and Dad’s kitchen makeover! The cabinets are FINALLY done (enter big giant sigh!!) and will be hung next week. I can’t wait to show you how it has all come together!
